Wrap Up

We are a risk management and insurance brokerage firm offering comprehensive services to protect your business and your personal assets. While we broker insurance, it is only a small portion of the Tanenbaum-Harber picture.

INNOVATION

We began as innovators in safety and loss control more than 150 years ago. We continue to believe in innovative thinking as the key ingredient to effective risk management.

We fashion customized protection for clients of any size and complexity.

PARTNERSHIP

Experience has shown us that a close partnership with our clients helps us control their insurance costs. To this end, we offer:

  • Prompt and accurate responses to your unique needs
  • An individually designed risk management program tailored to your needs

SERVICE

We have grown in size and sophistication throughout our history, yet we have never compromised our commitment to personal service.

Our commitment begins with the first call from a potential client and follows through to payment for a loss.

Meticulous claims management keeps our clients costs competitive, while allowing us to provide comprehensive protection of both corporate and personal assets.

FEE/COMMISSION DISCLOSURE

Tanenbaum-Harber Co., Inc. takes seriously its responsibility to provide you with the most cost-effective policies appropriate to your business. We have found that developing strong ties with a number of insurance carriers has aided us in being able to continually fulfill this responsibility. Our firm is compensated in a number of different ways, as are other insurance brokers. It has been a long-standing practice in the insurance industry for carriers to directly compensate brokers by paying them a standard commission and, in many cases, contingent commissions. These contingent commissions are usually paid annually. They are contingent upon the happening of some event; for example, a favorable loss ratio for the broker’s entire book of business with that insurer, or a certain percentage of premium growth over a previous comparable period of time.
